Other techniques

Auxiliary techniques are dewatering presses, dewatering screws and filter enclosures. Below you will find a brief description of each technique.

The Dewatering Screw

The Dewatering Screw is a simple machine to dewater sand, grit and other matter that can be settled. The working principle is based on a settle tank and a screw elevator. The elevator transports the waste matter upwards which dewaters the solids to be removed.

The Dewatering Presses

Dewatering Presses are particularly simple machines to dewater and transport wet waste matter. The working principe is based on a screw elevator with a press zone at the end of the elevator. These units can be used also to dewater relatively high capacities.
